Lots of excitement this morning when the rock arrived. There's a slide show of it on the Fisher Project Page, check it out.

I was there from start to finish. The phone rang at 7:15a.m. and I knew it was about the rock. Since we had been having such a difficult time getting it here I was afraid it was bad news, but instead, it was Mike McDonald telling me the rock was already at the Art Center. Luckily I was almost ready to leave my home. I raced down to the Art Center and was there in time to photograph the whole unloading and positioning event from start to finish. You can see some of the photos in the slide show on the Fisher Project page. Also on hand were David Russell, coordinator of the sculpture program, and Jima Abbott, coordinator of the Summer Fair to make sure we were in the right location, Mike McDonald, director of marketing to make sure I got enough pics and Janet Seifert, security and housing manager who was also backup photographer. Sandy Oppenheimer was there to cheer on hubby John Fisher, and Lucky Lennox was there in support of the sculpture program. Various passers by stopped in to ask what we were doing and expressed great interest in the project. Kudos to Bill Daniels and his crane operator for their expert handling of our rock and to our anonymous young truck driver who really earned his stripes bringing our 20,000lb baby over hwy 128 and then negotiating between the trees to get his truck onto our lawn. If you can drive a load over Hwy 128, you can probably drive a load anywhere. Come down and take a look. Our rock is quite impressive.
